A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hey everyone. Shivs here. For those of you who are curious as to why I called this blog Shivs thoughts of the week here's a quick explanation. When I was in high school I loved to collect knives and I still do. Well my buddy's called me Shivs due to the fact that I had several knives on me at all times and they all ranged in size from a tiny little pin knife to daggers. So just a little back ground information on me, I'm 22 years old. I was adopted at the age of three and I have 7 siblings. I fall in to the spot of the second oldest in the pecking order. All of my siblings are also adopted. My music taste may make some of you cringe because it consist of music that you may have to look up the lyrics to know what is being said. If you read my previous post you may have noticed that ICP is one of my favorite bands to listen to. I also enjoy listening to Bullet for my valentine, Slipknot, Amon Amarth, Ancient Wisdom, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engaged, All That Remains, and As I Lay Dying just to name a few. If you would like a more detailed list feel free to ask. I grew up in Lowell MI and when I graduated high school I joined the army where I drove the M1A1 Abrams main battle tank for two and a half years. I was stationed out in Fort Irwin CA for that entire time. Unfortunately I never deployed instead I helped train units before they deployed. I dressed up as a terrorist and ran around causing trouble for the unit so that they could learn how to handle the worst case scenarios. I got out in 2013 and moved back to Michigan for a few months. I then moved to Texas and from Texas to Mississippi. From Mississippi I moved to Illinois and finally back up here to Battle Creek. As far as I'm concerned I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. I look forward to working with all of you in this up coming semester.
